Learn to Skate

Nonotuck Valley Hockey Association Learn To Skate

The NVHA Learn To Skate program introduces children ages 4 and above to the basics of hockey skating including forwards and backwards skating, hockey stops, turns and crossovers.

  • Develop skating & hockey skills
  • Learn teamwork & sportsmanship
  • Have fun & stay active all winter
  • Youth hockey teams for all ages
  • Foster a love of skating and ice hockey

Instruction is provided by volunteers from the Nonotuck Valley Hockey Association and players from local high school hockey programs.

Participants are required to wear helmets, and elbow pads and knee/shin pads are highly recommended.

The Learn to Skate program begins October 15, running for about 17 sessions in total.  The program meets every Saturday from 10:20 to 11am at Lossone Rink on the Williston-Northampton campus in Easthampton.
