The Squirt team for the 2011-12 season is for players born in 2001 or 2002. Younger players with some hockey experience may also choose to play at the Squirt level. The NVHA Squirt team plays in the Greater Springfield League (GSL) and will likely compete in either the 'B' or 'C' division in 2011-12. Our home rink is Lossone Rink at the Williston Northampton School in Easthampton, MA. The Squirt team practices Thursday nights, either in Easthampton or Holyoke plus many weeks will have a second practice in Easthampton. Practices are 50 minutes long and start no later than 7:10pm.The Squirt team plays 1 or 2 full-ice games on the weekends. Half the games will be at our home rink in Easthampton, half the games will be in surrounding communities. Cost is $150 due at registration and 5 monthly payments of $190. This includes tournaments, hockey socks, use of an NVHA jersey for the season. Season starts Sept 24 and ends in mid-March. This team is suitable for players who have some skating background. Hockey experience helps but is not required.
