10U Pauli wins Thunder and Lightning Tournament!

It was an impressive weekend for the Nonotuck Valley Hockey Association Knights. The program’s 8U-Lusignan, 10U-Miller and 10U-Pauli teams rode into Glens Falls, N.Y. for the Adirondack Thunder and Lightning Tournament, with the 10U-Pauli team capturing a tournament title. The Miller and Pauli teams played well all weekend and faced off for a tough semifinal matchup, with 10U-Pauli pulling out the win to secure their spot in the championship game. After going back and forth in an exciting overtime battle, tournament points leader, Brody Cleland, scored the winning goal off a perfectly placed pass from teammate, Jack Sturges. The Knights’ performance capped off a weekend of exceptional team play. Four Knights led the way in tournament points, and the team received stifling defense and goalie play from Hayden Osgood, who only allowed three goals over five games. The smallest Knights got in on the winning as well after competing bravely all weekend, as 8U-Lusignan were able to end the tournament on a high note with a solid victory. The Knights now look forward to evaluations to begin preparations for the 2025-2026 season with dates available on the Nonotuck Valley Hockey Association website (www.nonotuckvalleyhockey.org).
